Overall Job Purpose



  • Cold call a wide range of customer at high call rates in generate leads and appointments

  • Respond to all inbound enquiries within an 8 hour working day time period

  • Qualify leads via phone and book appointments for the Area Sales Managers

  • Manage and cleanse the customer database

  • Work alongside marketing/sales/presales in order to achieve personal and team targets and objectives

  • Be open to new ideas and look for ways to increase own sales performance

  • Provide reports on lead pipeline and activity

  • Generate and follow up on simple quotes


Main Duties / Key Accountabilities



  • Respond to all inbound enquiries within 1 working day

  • Qualify all incoming leads

  • Update and build customer database

  • Take notes and record all conversations by updating the database after all calls

  • Gather information on outbound and inbound calls as specified by the Marketing team and update the database accurately

  • Maintain high call rates in order to maximize enquiry generation

  • Maintain a friendly and professional manner on all telephone calls

  • Actively look for sales opportunities and explore options available to potential customers.

  • Whilst prospecting for service sales products with customer. Promote new and used equipment sales when the opportunity arises

  • In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder may be required to perform other duties

  • Provide reports on pipeline and activity and Communicate information to the Manager accurately in a clear, concise and timely manner


Experience and Skills Required



  • Excellent telephone manner required

  • Personable, fun and friendly

  • Proactive – always looking to increase and improve own sales performance and be able to spot an opportunity

  • Able to work in fast moving environment

  • Experience in telesales
