Description:

We're looking for an expert digital learning developer to take responsibility for the digital learning solutions in the UK for a household name and global business.


You'll also provide first level support for systems that are used for digital training and provide the bridge between IT departments and non-IT departments


Description of tasks

Design

•             Use instructional design principles to script, storyboard and deploy effective e-learning, video and virtual classroom solutions.  
•             Create interactive learning that meets the different learning styles of employees
•             Manage the product life-cycle of existing library content by reviewing/up-dating or retiring courseware as appropriate
Migrate e-learning content, testing and developing to be published for delivery on the learning management system.


Stakeholder Management
•             Work with the product, retail and consumer product channels to create engaging digital learning that is innovative, fun and interesting.
•             To identify where digital learning interventions can be used to best suit the different user groups
•             To liase with the Eurpoean Training Competency team on their development roadmap and adapt to the UK requirement
•             To engage all stakeholders in digital learning to maximise the benefit their business
•             Be part of the European Expert group for eLearning delivery, innovative technologies and sharing of best practice across the region
•             As required oversee the commissioning of external providers to create e-learning content. Manage requests for content and relationships with preferred suppliers


Learning Management System Support
•             To be first level response to trouble shoot any UK user issues
•             To be the 'Super-User' for the learning system taking responsibility for system training, support and the production of training documentation
•             Partnering with the European Training Competency team to continuously development and improve the learning management system development is in line with UK requirement.  
•             Keep ahead of latest developments in technology based learning
•             Testing and adapting any technologies to ensure that they are supported locally in the UK

Feedback Analysis & Reporting
•             Gather feedback from hosting system data, partners and customers to evaluation the effectiveness of the design and develop best practice content
•             Analyse available data on eLearning in order to identify clear business direction for training  
•             Produce key reporting analysis on learning intelligence

Experience & Knowledge

•             Ability to work with a network of diverse stakeholders to create digital content.  This would typically include screen capture films, articles, interactive PDFs, quizzes, Virtual Classrooms and any other ad hoc formats
•             Experience in creating short product training videos or such like; from developing the script, filming, editing, publishing and uploading.
•             Ability to identify opportunities where digital solutions for learning can be used considering any business constraints
•             To be able to engage a non-digital audience in new digital learning approaches and help them understand the benefits
•             Experience of being the digital translator between internal and external IT professionals and non IT personel
•             Proven ability to quickly develop knowledge of a topic area and translate the facts into engaging learning applying adult learning principles
•             Experience of working with classroom trainers to align digital content with other traditional learning solutions
•             Responsible for life cycle of all digital content
•             Experience of supporting and troubleshooting technology based learning
•             Experience of reporting - including generating data feeds in and out of other systems
•             Project Management skills and experience in meeting tight deadlines unsupervised

Specific knowledge
•             Experience of working within brand guidelines
•             The candidate should have knowledge of and worked extensively with the following technology:
o             Articluate 360 Suite or equivalent; HTML5 learning based solutions such as Rise
o             LMS, content management and sharepoint systems
o             Screen capture software such as Replay
o             Video editing software such as Adobe Premier Elements
•             Knowledge of mobile learning principles or experience would be an advantage
•             Retail awareness in Consumer Products would be an advantage
