Global market leader in the construction and material handling space are looking to hire a Technical Sales Manager in the North.

Ideally located in the North and reporting to the UK Sales Director you will be responsible for:

  • Selling into the end users at Director and VP level as well as maintaining relationships with End User Clients, Architects, System Integrators, and General Contractors.

  • Following up, qualifying and converting leads and new enquiries

  • Expanding into new market sectors

  • Providing direction to the product development team on new and updated solutions for your market and customers

  • Development and implementation of a strategic sales plan to ensure a surgical focus on territory growth.

  • Maintain a sales pipeline and share the pipeline with the Operations Team to ensure product supply.

  • Identify and develop new prospects using resources including general business publications, industry directories, the web, trade show leads, targeted mailing lists and referrals.

  • Achieve a targeted number of trial installations every quarter.

  • Collaborate cross functionally to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Fully utilize available resources to maximize award potential and overall success rate.


  • You’ll have enjoyed the last 3 years nurturing relationships, converting leads to sales and selling products and solutions into various sectors including construction, transport, retail, warehouse logistics and / or distribution.

  • You will have developed great relationships with the end user customer, the main contractors and architects

  • You can demonstrate how you have followed up leads and enquiries to win new sales over an extended time frame with multiple decision makers

  • Ability to negotiate long term agreement deals with end users.

  • Focus on results in a fast paced, high energy environment.

  • Able to analyse and interpret data to craft the most effective customer approach.

  • Able to develop and execute a tactical plan to support the strategic vision of the business

  • It goes without saying that you have first class communication & presentation skills and can shift seamlessly between the building site and Customer HQ
